WHO WE ARE
ReDefined Prosthetics is a new non-profit that is dedicated to transforming lives by ensuring that old prosthetics find renewed purpose as functional tools. The mission of the organization is to provide funding for children who are in need of a prosthetic and give back to the amputee community.
We take old prosthetics and partner with businesses who can use parts of the prosthetic to create a series of unique tools for the original user to continue their story and to extend that story into the hands of others.
The funds raised from these unique tools, along with other fundraising efforts, are used to provide grants to help families afford prosthetic care for their child.
ReDefined Prosthetics will partner with other organizations in the medical field to assist in funding prosthetic needs for children not covered by insurance. We believe that every kid deserves the chance to be a kid without financial barriers standing in the way.
One of the ways the ReDefined Prosthetics gives back to the amputee community is by hosting free events that give amputees the opportunity to push themselves physical and mentally. Go check out the 14,000 ft Peak Challenge !
FAQs
Q: How does ReDefined Prosthetics use the donations it receives?
A: As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we take pride in openly sharing how every dollar is used. 100% of funds go directly toward our mission — supporting the amputee community through our projects, events, and direct donations to organizations that provide prosthetic care for children in need.
In 2025, ReDefined will donate to Amputee Blade Runners and Limbitless Solutions, two organizations that provide state-of-the-art prosthetics to children at no cost to their families.
Q: Does anyone at ReDefined Prosthetics receive a salary?
A: No. ReDefined Prosthetics currently operates entirely on a volunteer basis. Our founder/director and board members do not receive compensation for their roles within the organization.
As we grow, our goal is to reach a point where part-time or full-time staff are needed to expand our impact. When that time comes, all salaries will be disclosed in our annual reports to maintain the highest level of transparency for our donors.
Q: What makes donating to ReDefined Prosthetics different from giving to other nonprofits?
A: We’re built on the belief that donations should go where they make the most difference — not to a large overhead expense account or executive salaries.
There are no highly paid directors, no lifetime board stipends, and no grey-area accounting within ReDefined Prosthetics. Every contribution is applied to the highest and best use possible to further our mission.
Q: Who benefits from my donation?
A: Your donation impacts multiple parts of the amputee community. Through our unique projects, we support veterans by giving new purpose to their prosthetic components and fund prosthetic limbs for children so they can get back to being kids again. A true win/win for you as the donor!
Beyond direct funding, we also host events that empower amputees to push past limitations, build community, and inspire others through storytelling and example. Check out 2025’s 14,000 ft Peak Challenge
